CUMBERLAND, MD — On August 25, 2017, Dale Lee Klemm, 56, of Cumberland went to be with his Savior, Jesus. Born in Oyster Bay, NY, Dale was preceded in death by his parents Keith and Evelyn (Ehman) Klemm and brothers Keith Lyle and Drew Alan. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Amy (Cummins) Klemm, sons Khyle, Jared and Nathanial (Woog) and daughter Olivia, all at home. He is also survived by his mother Helen (Mahaney) Klemm, his brother Dean Klemm (Joanne), and his sister Karen Hammond (James), all of Baltimore, his other parents, Earl and Shirley Cummins of Fairhope, PA, brothers-in-law Steven (Lisa) Cummins, of Lexington, SC, Kelly (Kelly) Cummins of Colorado Springs, CO, Stanley (Wendy) Cummins of Stewartstown, PA, and sister-in-law Lorraine (Terry) Hannah of Darlington, MD. Dale is also survived by many cherished, extended family and friends, too numerous to list.
Dale graduated from Dundalk High School in 1978 and received his Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland in 1984. He received his M.B.A. from Loyola University in 1991. Dale was also in the process of, and only 2 courses shy of completing his PharmD from Shenandoah University. For the past 33 years, Dale has worked as a pharmacist in several locations but most recently at Western Maryland Health System and Potomac Valley Pharmacy. He was highly respected and loved by his colleagues. Dale loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. His love for God was exemplified through his heart for missions and passion to share the Gospel. Dale adored his children, loving nothing more than spending time with them, along with cycling, running, kayaking, fishing, shooting and camping. He was an avid reader and life long learner. Dale was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, MD, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, 4-8 PM and Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Central Assembly of God in Cumberland, MD, 10-11 AM. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Tim McGregor following Wednesday’s visitation at 11 AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
