Cumberland—Emelia L. “Amy” Myers, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Born in West Virginia, on June 25, 1951, Amy was the daughter of the late Paul W. Swick, Sr. and Dinah (Kepeu) Swick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clide C. Myers; sister, Shirlenne Linn; and her great-granddaughter, Hadley Carnell.
Amy was a graduate of Fort Hill High School. Following high school, Amy was employed at Tommy’s Market in Bakery and Deli Departments. She was also employed at Ellie’s Deli and WalMart. Amy attended the Tri State Ministry Center, formerly the Hyndman Ministries Center. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and taking care of her cat, Little Red, and her dog, Junior.
Amy is survived by her three children, Amy K. Twigg, Cumberland, Julie Spence and husband Carl, Corriganville, and Jason Twigg and wife April Shaffer, Cumberland; grandchildren, Autumn Carnell and husband T.J., Shane McKenzie, Aaron Spence, Cody Twigg, Garrett Twigg, and Scott Twigg; great-grandson, Tucker Carnell; brother, Paul “Butch” Swick and Irene, Cumberland; sisters, Yvonne Cover and husband Glenn, Florida, and Shirlanne Evans, Cumberland; special friends, Butch and Kathleen Ibenez, Cumberland, Jimmy Valentine, Pittsburg, Faye Burton, Cumberland, and Mark Grice and wife Connie, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 1 P.M. with Pastor Steve Leydig officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Pall Bearers will be Jimmy Valentine, David Spence, Chucky Raynor, Mark Grice, J. R. Fetters, and T. J. Cornell.
