CUMBERLAND – John Harrison “Jack” Little, Sr., 82, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his residence.

Born December 21, 1934, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Herman and Mary (Polick) Little. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean E. Little, on March 22, 2017; grandson, Christopher Delos-Santos; four sisters, Martha Hansrote and husband Bernard, Alberta Will and husband Francis, Helen Rizer and husband Roy, and Irma Mawhinney and husband Alvin.

Jack served his country in the United States Marines. He then went on to work at Kelly Springfield. Later, Jack and Jean owned, operated, and later retired from Littles Family Restaurant. He was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God Church in Cumberland. As a music lover, Jack enjoyed strumming his guitar in his younger years.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Barbara Delos-Santos and husband Willie, Oakley, CA; son, John H. Little, Jr.; step-sons, Richard S. Whisner, Cumberland, and Kenneth J. Whisner, Cumberland; sister, Sondra Willison and husband Steve, Cumberland; grandchildren, Johnathan Delos-Santos and wife Samantha, Minnesota, Stacia M. Whisner and Justin Marchinke, Cumberland, and Tess M. Whisner, Martinsburg, WV; great-grandchildren, Jausalin Marchinke, Hanna Fazenbaker, and Annabella Izat; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy, Cresaptown, on Sunday, July 9, from 3 to 5 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at Restlawn Memorial Gardens on Monday, July 10, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gerald Wagner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory may be made to Trinity Assembly of God Church, 12122 Bedford Road, Cumberland, MD 21502.
