Linda G. (Yaider) Harden, 64, Ft. Ashby, WV, passed away peacefully at home on November 28, 2017, she went to her mansion in the sky.

Linda was born on January 5, 1953 in Cumberland, Maryland, the daughter of John Yaider and Verna (Wilburn) Emrick. She was preceded in death by her parents and close friend, Mary McCullough. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Harden and son, William C. Keating Jr. and partner Lance J. Davis, of Cumberland. Her brothers, John Yaider Jr.. and Dee , Ridgeley, Donald Yaider and Cheryl, Ridgeley. Nephews, John Yaider and Gail, Wiley Ford, Scott Yaider and Autumn, Ridgeley, and niece Stacie Harden and Mike, Bridgeport, Nebraska. Great nieces, Elizabeth Yaider and partner Jen Brown, Kaysie Yaider and partner Chelsey Harvey, Baylee Yaider and partner Taylar Duvall, Chloe Parsons, great nephews, Harley Yaider, Jacob Maze, Noah Maze and James Maze. Brother-in laws, Terry Harden and Cindy, Pat Harden and Brenda of Martinsburg, WV, Mike Harden and Sun, San Antonio, TX. Uncle and aunt Loren and Shirley Bosley, Ft. Ashby and cousin Mary Getz. Friends, Robin Hupp, Roxie Green, Bonnie Clark, Jerry Thompson, Chuck and Beth Gabbert,  Doug and Lisa Shreve, Matt and Faith Centofonti, Charlie Simpson, Allan Malone, Iris Vowell and Nancy Taylor.

Linda graduated from Fort Ashby High School in 1971. Earlier years Linda worked in dietary at Lions Manor nursing home, and before retiring she was employed as a lunch lady at Fort Hill High School’s cafeteria.

When Linda wasn’t working she enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Garden Club of Cumberland. She also volunteered at the Wiley Ford Fire Dept. making hoagies for fundraising. She attended Mount Zion Church, Fountain, WV. She loved shopping, swimming, cooking, attending Ft Hill football games and spending time with her two Chihuahuas, Choclet and Coco as well as her son’s dog, Shag. More than anything else, Linda was a friend to everyone and had a great sense of humor. At home she was always “the boss.”

As per Linda’s request, she was cremated at Scarpelli Funeral Home, with no funeral services being held. At a later date, there will be a family gathering in celebration of her life.
