Cresaptown—Lloyd Wesley “Butch” Kline, Jr., 66, of Cresaptown, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the UPMC Presbyterian Medical Center.
Born in Cumberland, on January 13, 1951, he was the son of the late Lloyd Wesley Kline, Sr. and Marybell (Leister) Kline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Kline.
Butch was a graduate of Mount Savage High School, class of 1969. While in school, he was an athlete who participated in soccer, basketball, and baseball. Butch retired from the Western Maryland Health System. He was an avid golfer who participated in the Old Timers Golf League at Fore Sisters Golf Course. Every year, Butch would organize a golf trip to Lakeview Country Club in Morgantown, WV.
Butch is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pamela F. (Hott) Kline; three daughters, Misty Kline, Cumberland, Christine Cline and husband James, LaVale, and Jaime Kline, Cumberland; grandsons, Dominick, Gabriel, and Evan Cline; sisters, Barbara Thrasher and husband Ernie, Key Biscayne, FL, and Judith Schroyer and husband David, Ellerslie, MD; brothers, Kenneth Kline, Corriganville, and Gary Kline and wife Lori, Frostburg, MD. Butch is also survived by his best buddy, his dog, Jackson.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy, Cresaptown, MD, on Thursday, February 16, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2017, at 1 P.M. with Pastor David Hattenfield officiating.
