Cumberland—Lucille Pearl Seifert, 77, of Cumberland, passed away at the Western Maryland Health System on Monday, September 25, 2017.
Born in Cumberland, MD, on February 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Edna (Robertson) and John E. Ralston, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Diaz and Peggy Sue Sfarra; and two brothers, John E. Ralston, Jr. and Glendon “Babe” Ralston.
Luci was employed at the Giant Food Company for over 20 years, and she later worked for the Bradenburg Center from where she retired. Luci enjoyed working crossword puzzles, working in her garden, and reading.
She is survived by Charlie E. Goetz, a very special man who had been with her for 40 years; her children, Lisa D. May and Kirk A. Seifert; grandchildren, Andy Seifert, Shawn May, Amelia “Amy” Hoenicka and husband Zach, Laura Hood and husband Paul, and Xavier Frazier; great-grandchildren, Skyla, Carlie, Maddex, Kayne, Jaiden, Grayson, Cameron, Cole, Mitchell, Emma, Reese, Haley, and Hanna; and two brothers, Ronald Ralston and Jeanette and Charles Ralston and Ruth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday, September 29, 2017 from noon to 1 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 1 P.M. Burial will take place at Davis Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Seifert, Glen Twigg, Shawn May, and Andy Seifert.
The family has requested their friends and family members refrain from sending flowers. Those who would like to honor Luci’s memory may send contributions to be used for her funeral expenses.
Luci’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Western Maryland Health System and the Lions Center for the kind considerate care given to Luci during her illness.
