Short Gap,WV- Lucy Mae “Susie” Stickley,78, of Short Gap passed away on Thursday November 9, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.

Born July 24, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Audrey Mae and Paul White. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Earl Riley Stickley,Jr. who she dearly missed. And her beloved daughter Cindy Brewer who passed one year later in 2015.

“Susie” worked in New York City for LeCoultre Jewerly Store. After her marriage to Earl, they resided in Michigan where they purchased a general store in 1969 and renamed it “The Lake General Store”. Later, they purchased “Lake Hardware”. She worked there until retiring in 1989. She and Earl enjoyed retirement in Michigan until his passing in 2014. In 2015, she moved back to Short Gap to be with her family and friends.

Surviving is her son in law, Donald Brewer, Mt. Pleasant, MI; and the rest of her family including Cheyenne and Jonie Abe who have made many memories with her the last couple years and will miss her deeply; other family members; her dog “Diana” and her best friend and companion, her cat “KitKat”.

Per “Susie’s” intention, there will be no visitation. She generously donated he body to medical science.
