Marjorie A. Kady (nee Hutton) passed away peacefully on July 10, 2017, at the age of 89.

Marjorie was born in Ridgeley, West Virginia to Seymour and Golden Hutton.  She graduated from Ridgeley High School and received her Bachelor of Science from Shepherd College. During her time at Shepherd, she met Donald E. Kady. The two married in 1952 and eventually settled in New Carrollton, Maryland. Marjorie was a teacher for Prince George’s County Public Schools for more than 30 years.  After retiring, she enjoyed traveling and spending time in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Throughout her years in Maryland, Marjorie was an active member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Riverdale, Maryland.

Marjorie is survived by her son, James T. Kady of Huntingtown, Maryland; daughter, Kathryn A. D’Annunzio (Mark) of Cary, Illinois; grandchildren, Michael J. D’Annunzio, Kelly Kady Tarkenton (Stephen), and Kevin P. Kady; great-grandchildren, Trey and Trent Tarkenton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Kady; brother, Robert Hutton; and daughter-in-law, Kathryn A. Kady.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the caring staff of Riderwood’s Arbor Ridge Memory Care Unit (4th Floor).

Family will receive friends at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, Maryland, on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m.

A graveside service will be conducted at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cumberland immediately following visitation.
