Cumberland—Marsha Ann Mitchell, 63, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, at her home.

Born in Cumberland, MD, on October 21, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Sara M. (Clem) and Dale Francis Digman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dale Frances Lee.

Marsha attended Fort Hill High School, and she was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.  She wore many hats, but grandmother was her favorite.  She was a woman of great determination; once her mind was set on something, there was nothing or anyone who would stop her from completing her task. She was born of a different generation, and she grew up at an early age. Marsha never stopped loving and caring for those who were close to her.

Marsha is survived by her lifelong soul mate, Stanley B. “Skip” Davis; her children, Tina M. Siefers and husband Greg, Hagerstown, MD, Michelle Davies, Cumberland, Marcy Lancaster and husband Jason “Jake,” Cumberland, and Emily Mitchell and her fiancé Adam Clark, Cumberland; grandchildren, Josh Mitchell, Haley Siefers, Jeremy Mitchell and fiancée Jenna Butler, Sara Sarver, Keegan Sarver, Shayna Sarver, Jacob Lancaster, Hayden Lancaster, Wyatt Ranker, Haven Clark, and Abram Clark; brother, Michael E. Digman, Cumberland; sister, Dixie Rice and husband Charles, Keyser, WV.

At Marsha’s request, she will be cremated.  Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted the funeral home on Wednesday at 4 P.M.  Inurnment will be in Zion Memorial Cemetery on Bedford Road, Cumberland.
