POTOMAC PARK – Michael Angelo Natale, 67, of Potomac Park, Cumberland, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born June 16, 1949, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Geraldine (Sirbaugh) and William Natale.

Mike attended LaSalle High School, but graduated from Bishop Walsh High School in 1967. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was the operations manager at Peacemaker Floors in Gaithersburg, MD, until his retirement. Mike was a fisherman who loved the South Branch River. In fact, he was the original “River Rat.” He loved his cats, Lily and Eddie, and his dog, Francis.

Surviving Mike are his wife, Sharon (Lease) Natale; children, Michael W. Natale, Gray Natale, Amber Rodas, Philip Hinton, and Scott McGann; grandchildren, Drew and Corbin McGann, and Evan Harden; brother, Mark Natale; and sisters, Brenda Ortiz, and Teresa Mazer.

Mike had the gift of making everyone he came in contact with smile and laugh. He immediately made you feel special with his charismatic personality. His positive outlook carried him through life and enhanced the lives of those who knew and met him. He leaves us his legacy to live and enjoy life every day, no matter what it brings. Be yourself, love yourself, and smile. Fly high, Mike, you deserve and earned it.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Wednesday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral service will follow immediately at noon with Pastor James Glass officiating. Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans’ Cemetery, Rocky Gap. Military honors will be accorded at the gravesite by Ft. Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Josh Natale, Luke Mazer, David Ortiz, Nick Natale, and Chris Natale.
