CORRIGANVILLE — Patricia “Patty” Ann (Malone) Ford, 81, of Corriganville, Maryland, passed away at her home on January 29, 2017.

Patricia was born in Fort Ashby, West Virginia, to Clarence and Nellie (Gower) Malone, on July 18, 1935.  She graduated from Fort Ashby High School Class of ’52.  She was married to Glenn Adam Ford for 55 years.  She worked side by side with her husband in the family business, Glenn A. Ford & Son Drilling Contractor.  She served as President of Corriganville Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Association and the President of the Corriganville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years.  She was member of the Cresaptown Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Cumberland Outdoor Ladies Auxiliary, Democrat Club Cumberland and Crossroad Sportsman Club. Prior to her aneurysm and stroke, Patricia enjoyed crocheting and ceramics.  She loved cooking for family and friends.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Michael Malone and Nellie Dorothy (Gower) Malone; one sister, Rosalie Malone; and four brothers, Michael Malone, Elmer Malone, Roy Malone and Richard Malone.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Glenn A. Ford; her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca (Ford) and Harvey Hogamier; her son, Glenn (Slug) D. Ford and special friend Christina Driver; her grandson, Harvey Adam Hogamier; her granddaughter, Christina Ann Ford; one great-grandson, Matthew Edward Winebrenner; and one brother, Jackson Malone.

The family will receive guests at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, Maryland, on Friday, February 3, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., following visitation, at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., with the Deacon Lydia Martin officiating.  Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Cash Valley Road, Cumberland, Maryland.  Arrangements are by Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A.

Pallbearers will be Adam Hogamier, Paul Gibbner, Charlie Mosser, Tony Jones, Mark Stanford, and David Washington. Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Hogamier, Ken Mossenberger, and Terry Getson.

The family invites friends to a celebration of Patricia’s life following the interment at the Cumberland Outdoor Club.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations, in Patricia’s name, be made to St. George’s Espiscopal Church, Mt. Savage, Maryland or the Corriganville Volunteer Fire Department.
