CUMBERLAND – Ruth Louise (Howser) Weber, 85, of Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Country House Residence.
Born on July 21, 1932, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Arvella (Eshbaugh) Howser. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald Lewis Weber; and her brothers, Robert “Bob” Howser and William Howser.
Ruth was a 1950 graduate of Fort Hill High School, and was an avid fan of her alma mater’s football team. She enjoyed camping and traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach, SC. Above all, Ruth loved spending time with her family. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were her life.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Ed Weber and wife Debi, and Bruce Weber and wife Kathy, daughters, Roberta Greise and husband Tim, Brenda Yost and husband Bill, and Charlene Lindsay; grandchildren, Daniel Weber, Chris Weber and fiancé Krystal, Megan Helman and husband Johnny, Katie Dodd and husband Ashman, Belinda Estrella, Laura Bolinger and husband Nick, Billy Yost and special friend Angela, Donny Yost and wife Nicole, and Bill Lindsay; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Howser and wife Jane, and Dave Howser and Fran; and sisters, Jane Boggs and husband Kenny, and Cathy Mauck and husband Paul.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone at Country House Residences who took care of Ruth.
Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Sunday, December 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, December 4, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Turner officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
